Cherry Blossoms "High Park" 2014

Every year we always look forward to go to High Park to see the mesmerizing and breath taking cherry blossoms. They are so beautiful that it gets so crowded and you have to wait for your turn to take a picture with the trees.

You don't have to go to Japan to experience this. Although, in Japan their cherry blossoms last a lot longer that here in Toronto. As soon as it starts to bloom and the weather is good and stable, you will have the chance to get a glimpse of these trees within 2-3 weeks. But this year, the trees hasn't bloomed to their best. Our winter "christmas" ice storm and cold "spring" weather has taken over. You would still see some cherry blossoms but it's nothing compare from previous years.

The trees this year i would say only bloomed 15-20 percent or less. But despite of the disaster this year, we went to the park and still had a blast. You may not see a lot of cherry blossoms in the background of our pictures, but we still managed to take beautiful pictures at the park.

If you plan to go there this week, you may want to go there early. People have expected and expecting that they will see full bloomed cherry blossoms this year. After 9am, the crowd starts to get bad and it's not easy to look for a parking space. You will not see a lot of cherry blossoms but people are still taking pictures of the trees and only one tree that actually stands out that is the Magnolia tree. Below are some pictures that we took on Saturday and I also posted pictures from years ago so you will know what I meant by not fully bloomed this year =) Enjoy!
